Arsenal chase Glen Johnson?

Arsenal could be set to make a shock offer for Portsmouth star Glen Johnson in January. Arsene Wenger is in the market for some defensive reinforcements, and the England international has emerged as a candidate.

Portsmouth's owner Alexandre Gaydamak has confirmed that he is looking to sell the club and redeem some of the money he has spent, and Johnson could well be sold in January.

A figure of around 7.5 million GBP has been suggested for the former Chelsea man, who is capable of playing anywhere in defence.
