Martins to Tottenham?

Obafemi Martins is reportedly a shock target for Tottenham on this busy January transfer window deadline day. There had been rumours that Darren Bent could be heading for St. James' Park whilst the Nigerian Martins would head the opposite direction.

There had been rumours of a cash plus player deal for Martins, but nothing has been confirmed.

Tottenham are set to sign Robbie Keane from Liverpool and Giovani dos Santos is expected to make a move to Portsmouth, so there could be one more big signing for Harry Redknapp's men.

It is believed Martins would join Tottenham in a deal expected to be worth around 14 million GBP.
