Buffon on Man City radars, again!
Manchester City were desperate to sign top quality players from Europe and although they signed a few including match winner Robinho, they never looked like a winning team.
The Man City management want big name signings and Buffon was speculated as a potential target in the January transfer window. With the season inching towards close everywhere in Europe, the Man City bid for Buffon has been strengthened.
The latest reports from Italy suggest that Juventus would allow their goal keeper to leave the club for a sum of £50m. Juve are set to bid for Udinese keeper Samir Handanovic.
Man City had already signed former Newcastle keeper Shay Given who had some impressive performances for the Manchester side.
If the Buffon deal is done, it would be a heavy blow for young English keeper Joe Hart. It seems that he might seek a move to Birmingham next season.
