Survival Sunday reflections
Survival Sunday reflections

So, we bring to a close one of the most entertaining seasons in Premiership history. Man Utd sealed the championship last week, but now we turn our attentions to the relegation battle and Survival Sunday...
A long season with so many twists and turns now draws to a close. But what a season it was.
On Survival Sunday, two of four teams could be relegated from the Premiership to the Championship, and two of those could well be arch rivals Newcastle and Sunderland, stalwarts of the Premiership, both battling to save their position in the top flight.
With Middlesbrough needing a miracle to survive in the top flight, Gareth Southgate will know that his position as the manager is hardly in the safest positions. Middlesbrough need two results to go their way, and need to win by at least four goals, or see other sides concede a stupid amount of goals.
For Hull City, this will be a season they will be hoping to remember fondly. It started off so well, with victories across England and even the Emirates earlier on, seeing Hull at the top of the Premiership. Dire form in 2009 could see them relegated back to the Championship with West Brom at the first time of asking.
Here at eyefootball, here's how we see Survival Sunday going:
Sunderland 0-1 Chelsea
West Ham 1-1 Middlesbrough
Hull City 1-2 Man Utd
Aston Villa 0-2 Newcastle
Seeing Newcastle and Sunderland escape the drop...
But whatever happens, we are certain to have one of the best last day relegation battles of all time.
