Marouane Chamakh to Arsenal

Marouane Chamakh has emerged as the hot favorite to replace Emmanuel Adebayor at Arsenal, should the Togo international striker quit the club and head to AC Milan, as expected.

It is understood that Adebayor is keen to quit the Emirates and move to Italy, and with AC Milan desperate to find a replacement for Kaka, Adebayor has emerged as the best solution.

Now Arsenal have turned their attentions to Bordeaux frontman Marouane Chamakh in a deal believed to be in the region of £16 million.

Marouane Chamakh last year impressed in Ligue 1 as Bordeaux romped to the title.
