Mexes to Chelsea?

Philippe Mexes is Carlo Ancelotti's first target this summer as he looks to rebuild the Blues' squad for their campaign on the Premiership title for next season.

The French fullback is happy to leave Roma, and will cost the Blues a fee in the region of £15 million.

Mexes is a full French international and has played in Italy with Roma for over four years, when he joined from Auxerre.

The expected departure of Ricardo Carvalho signals the need for a new centre back, and Mexes is seemingly Chelsea's first choice.
