Everton reject Lescott approach

According to reports this morning, Everton have rejected an estimated £19 million offer from Man City for the England international centre back. It is understood that Lescott is willing to discuss terms with the Citizens.

City have already splashed over £100 million on new signings this summer, and are ready to further dent their finances by landing Lescott from the Toffees.

Mark Hughes is hoping to partner Joleon Lescott with new signing from Arsenal, Kolo Toure, in a new look City side.

Lescott has improved dramatically over the past two years, and is believed by many to be one of the best defenders in the Premiership.
