Everton consider Carlton Cole

Everton will make an audacious attempt to sign West Ham striker Carlton Cole this summer, if they, as expected, will sell Yakubu. Carlton Cole is regarded by many as one of the hottest prospects in the Premiership.

Cole has had two wonderful seasons at the Hammers and has told close friends that he would like to move to a bigger club.

An offer from Arsenal failed to materialize and now the striker is still at Upton Park. The Everton offer is likely to fall short of West Ham's lofty valuation of the player, which is believed to be in excess of 13 million GBP.
