O'Hara confident of survival

With nearly half the teams in the league still threatened with relegation, Wolves will still feel confident of climbing out of the bottom three and securing safety. Mick McCarthy's side have picked up some form at a valuable time of the season and are currently on an unbeaten run of four games. Last weekend's morale boosting 1-0 derby victory against Aston Villa left them third from bottom, but only on goal-difference and Wolves will be hoping to continue that momentum when they travel to Newcastle next weekend.

With the team going well, McCarthy won't have been overly pleased with the timing of this international break. The interruption at this stage of the season could have a negative effect on the squad and the manager will be hoping his side can pick up from where they left off last week.



One reason behind Wolves' upturn in fortunes has been the form of Jamie O'Hara since joining from Tottenham. The 24-year old has previously stated his interest at making his loan move with the club permanent in the summer, something the club will probably explore should they secure their Premier League status for the second consecutive season.



O'Hara has been surprised with the amount of quality in the squad and is confident of a bright future for the midland's club.



He said: "I'm sitting here thinking 'this team should never be down there' and hopefully now we can keep pushing on and getting results. If this club can stay in the league this season, it can really push on."
