Roger Johnson top of Arsenal's list
Roger Johnson top of Arsenal's list

It comes as no surprise that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has, according to reports in England, made Roger Johnson his primary transfer target in the January transfer window.
With Birmingham relegated to the Championship last season, Johnson will be one of the many players who are likely to be leaving St Andrews this summer. Alex McLeish may have to sell as many as 4 players to balance the books as he prepares for life in the Championship.
Arsenal are not the only side interested in the talented centre back, with Tottenham, Everton and Sunderland also interested.
However, after a sixth season without a trophy at the Emirates; boss Arsene Wenger is considering a move for a new centre back to partner Thomas Vermaelen who is expected to return to full fitness and the first team next season.
This year Arsene Wenger experimented with several combinations in the middle; but faced huge criticism as he toyed with combinations of Sebastien Squillaci, Johan Djourou, Thomas Vermaelen and Laurent Koscielny.
Roger Johnson will be allowed to leave if £10 million is offered.
