Pogrebnyak to Sunderland?
Pavel Pogrebnyak is a shock target for Sunderland boss Steve Bruce. The Russian forward who plies his trade with German side VfB Stuttgart, has been linked with a £8 million move to the Premiership.
The fans at the Stadium of Light have already enjoyed the arrival of Connor Wickham this summer; so some are questioning the authenticity of this rumour.
However, the agent of Pogrebnyak has admitted he heard of the rumours: "For now, I can not tell you anything. Let's leave this piece of news without any comments.
"There really are some offers for Pogrebnyak, but today it's all still at the negotiation stage.
"The interest from German and English clubs still exists. However, we haven't received any new offers."
Amongst other clubs linked with the burly striker are Tottenham - who are set to sell Robbie Keane this week - also Wigan and Aston Villa have an interest.
