Chris Hughton sacked by Norwich City
Chris Hughton has been relieved from his managerial duties at Norwich City following a poor run of games for the club in the Premier League.
The Canaries slumped to a 1-0 home defeat to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday which left them only a place and five points clear of the drop zone.
Norwich, who will now be managed by former player Neil Adams, have a stiff task on their hands as they face the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal in the final games of the Premier League campaign.
The sacking of Hughton was confirmed on the club's official website, the statement read: "Norwich City can confirm Chris Hughton, Colin Calderwood and Paul Trollope have parted company with the club with immediate effect – and the former Canary winger and FA Youth Cup-winning coach Neil Adams has been appointed as first-team manager," read a statement on Norwich's website last night."
