Chelsea target Aymen Abdennour
Chelsea are reportedly set to turn their focus to Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour having failed in their attempts to sign Everton's John Stones.
The Blues have had three bids knocked back for Stones by Everton, who are also believed to have rejected the player's transfer request.
According to The Mail, Jose Mourinho's side are ready to looks at options elsewhere, and have opened talks with Monaco over a potential deal for Abdennour.
It is added that the Premier League champions are confident of beating Spanish side Valencia to the player's signature before Tuesday's transfer deadline.
Chelsea host high flyers Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.
