Burnley reach agreement for Steven Defour
Premier League newcomers Burnley have settled a transfer sum with Anderlecht for midfielder Steven Defour. The 28-year-old will become the Clarets' fourth signing of the transfer window.
The midfielder appeared in 63 outings for the Belgian outfit following his move from Porto in 2014.
He had previously caught the radar of Everton and Manchester United, and it now looks like he will link up with the newly-promoted side.
Sean Dyche's team have paid a club-record fee of around £7m for the midfielder, who has appeared 46 times for Belgium.
Defour is expected to put pen to paper on a four-year contract once he completes his medical tests.
Burnley have recruited the likes of Jamie Thomas, Nick Pope and Johann Berg Gudmundsson over the summer.
