Torino president sets price for Andrea Belotti

Belotti free to leave Torino at £86m

Torino president Urbano Cairo has insisted that the club will not be selling Andrea Belotti in the summer unless his £86m release clause is matched. The Italy international is a target for both Arsenal and Chelsea.

Belotti, 23, has turned heads across Italy and Europe this season following an impressive campaign which has seen him 22 goals in the Serie A.

In an interview with Sky Italia, Cairo admitted that he would value Belotti in excess of £130m, but the club will listen to offers matching his escape clause.

"If I had to insert a figure in his contract right now I would go for €150m (£130m)," he told Sky in Italy "He scored three more crazy goals, one even better than the other.

"We will have to wait and see whether a team is willing to pay €100m (£86m). I hope not because I want to keep him here. We are just enjoying him and his goals for now."

Belotti netted an eight-minute hat-trick in the second half of Torino's 3-1 comeback over Palermo - the fastest to complete the feat in the Serie A in the last 17 years.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal are understood to be hot on the trail of the player, with the futures of Diego Costa and Alexis Sanchez respectively hanging in the balance.
