Leicester City looking to sign ex-Chelsea defender
Leicester City are planning an approach to sign former Chelsea skipper Gary Cahill as they face the prospect of losing Harry Maguire during the current transfer window.
Maguire has been the subject of interest from both Manchester City and Manchester United this month and reports have emerged that the Foxes will sanction, should any of those sides match their £90m price tag for the centre-back.
According to The Sun, the Foxes are looking into potential additions, should Maguire leave the club and Cahill is one of those being considered to bolster the heart of the backline.
Cahill is a free agent following the expiry of his contract at Chelsea last month and reports have suggested that he would prefer to remain in the English capital rather than relocating elsewhere.
Arsenal, Crystal Palace and West Ham United have also been associated with the former England international, who has made more than 350 Premier League appearances during his career.
