Tottenham Hotspur to sign former Chelsea striker?
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly weighing up a contract offer for Diego Costa, who is a free agent after his release from Atletico Madrid.
Costa mutually terminated his Atletico contract earlier this week and he has since been linked with numerous clubs including Arsenal and Juventus.
According to La Razon, the likes of Spurs and Napoli are also interested in the Spaniard as they look to reinforce their striking options.
Napoli are planning to part ways with both Fernando Llorente and Arkadiusz Milik next month and they want to land Costa as the back-up striker.
Elsewhere, Spurs also want the marksman as an impact substitute and they are prepared to contact his representative over a free transfer.
Costa was hugely successful during his Premier League stint at Chelsea between 2014 and 2018 where he scored 52 goals from just 89 outings.
His return to Atletico was highly unsuccessful with only 12 goals from 61 league outings and he is now on the search for a new club.
