Colombian international right-back Daniel Munoz, currently plying his trade in Belgium with KRC Genk, has been linked with a move to the Premier League to join Crystal Palace. The 27-year-old defender has been with Genk since 2020, appearing over 100 times in the Jupiler League, and has reportedly gone on strike to help force through a move to the Eagles.

First making his international debut for Colombia in 2021, the defender now has 22 caps for his country and is seen as one of the South American team's best defensive players. Crystal Palace slumped to defeat against Arsenal last weekend and manager Roy Hodgson is under pressure to reverse the club's fortunes. It is understood that Hodgson wants to bring in two defenders as he sees defence as the club's primary pain point.

It has been reported that Palace submitted a bid of £5 million which is some way off of the £9 million valuation Genk have for the player, and after rejecting the approach Daniel has put himself on strike to help force through a transfer before the end of the month.

Joel Ward and Nathaniel Clyne, both who operate as right-backs, are out of contract in the summer and Palace are seeking a replacement.
