Man Utd halt transfer spending

24 July 2011 - 07:38

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that his transfer spending this summer has now stopped and that he is happy with his current crop of players.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Phil Jones, Ashley Young and David De Gea all arrived in big money deals this summer to Old Trafford; the Reds will now shut shop and focus on pre-season training.

"We are always looking for good quality players," said Ferguson.

"We started the season with the players we have and I am satisfied with that.

"We are not looking at the moment but we are looking at combinations of central midfielders now at the club."
