Man Utd turned down Jack Rodwell

06 September 2011 - 00:55

Manchester United turned down a chance to sign Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell. According to reports, Man Utd had the chance to pay 15m GBP for the midfielder; but turned down the opportunity.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • Instead, Rodwell decided to stay at Everton and the Toffees instead sold Mikel Arteta to Arsenal.

Everton are struggling financially with no money to spend, but Rodwell is still considered one of their best assets.

David Moyes will be happy that Rodwell stayed this year as Man Utd were very interested in the England midfielder.
