Capello gives Man Utd duo hope

Capello gives Man Utd duo hope

12 September 2011 - 07:05

England manager Fabio Capello has given Tom Cleverley and Phil Jones hope that they can regularly appear for England at full international level.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • "Good players don't have an age," Capello said. "The quality of these players is more important. They will play. Possibly in a really short time."

Cleverley and Phil Jones have both enjoyed good starts to their season with Man Utd. Cleverley had picked up a nasty looking injury due to a poor challenge from Kevin Davies last weekend, but Capello revealed he is still very much in the picture.

Capello added: "If we qualify, it will be an important chance for these players to play. It will be different the next games we play. It will be interesting if the result will be good. The next games we play here will be against really fantastic teams like Spain and Holland."
