An unimpressive Tottenham side battled to a 3-1 victory at the Hawthorns on Saturday, leaving them just two points adrift of Man Utd in second place in the Premier League, and with a game in hand.
Spurs will feel lucky to come away with the three points today, as West Brom were by far the better side for the vast majority of the game.
It took an inspired performance from on loan striker Emmanuel Adebayor to secure all three points, and a spirited fightback to ensure the victory.
West Brom took the lead after only 10 minutes, when Steven Reid found space down the right to cross in for Mulumbu to head home past Brad Friedel.
For the next fifteen minutes, WBA looked to be the superior side, but Emmanuel Adebayor levelled things up in the 25th minute as Aaron Lennon crossed in for the Togan to score from his second effort past Ben Foster in the WBA goal.
West Brom controlled the rest of the half, and would feel unfortunate not to be winning the game.
In the second half, WBA controlled the game from the off, but it took two late goals from Tottenham to secure all three points.
Emmanuel Adebayor played in Jermain Defoe with a wonderful back heel and the England international - linked with a move to QPR in January - smashed home to put Spurs in front.
It was game, set, match when Adebayor then scored his second goal from a great cross from Welsh international Gareth Bale.
After the game, Spurs boss Harry Redknapp said:
"We started poorly and didn't move the ball quick enough. They went in front and there was more chance of them going two up at that time than us pegging it back.
"But then, the first time we upped the pace of the game, we got the penalty. In the second half, we opened them up and should have scored a lot more goals."
