Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson ruled out a shock return to action for Serbian centre back Nemanja Vidic. Instead, Ferguson has targeted a return to action for him during pre-season in the summer.
Vidic severely damaged his knee during the Champions League defeat to Basel earlier in the season.
But Ferguson ruled out an early return for Vidic: “He’s on schedule but it’s for the beginning of next season. There’s no point trying to rush him for the end of the season.
“As for the summer tour, I’m not sure; it could well become a target for him.”
