Liverpool have completed a deal for Sevilla forward Luis Alberto. The Anfield side have paid a £6.8m fee for the transfer. Alberto, aged 20, will now link up with fellow countryman Iago Aspas, who also joined the Reds this summer.
The 20-year-old spent last year on loan at Barcelona's B team, but the interest of Liverpool turned out to be too good to refuse.
"He has the correct footballing profile and mentality to be a Liverpool player," said Reds' manager Brendan Rodgers of the Luis Alberto transfer.
"I look forward to working with him to develop his talent."
Liverpool have already been busy signing players this summer, with Kolo Toure and Iago Aspas two other signings, whilst the long term future of striker Luis Suarez remains in some doubt.
