Stoke City plan move for Danny Rose

23 June 2013 - 06:58

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes was sufficiently impressed with the performances of England under-21 defender Danny Rose last year, as the young full back spent the season on loan with Sunderland. Hughes is now ready to make an offer for the youngster as he plans a significant transfer spend.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • Danny Rose, currently on the books at Tottenham, enjoyed a fulfilling season with the Black Cats last year as the 22-year-old took part in 27 Premier League games, scoring one goal. The season before that Danny Rose played in 11 league games for Tottenham, but the likes of Kyle Naughton, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Kyle Walker have meant playing time has been difficult to come by at White Hart Lane.

Stoke City are ready to make an offer in the region of £6 million for the Doncaster-born youngster. The Potters have already made an enquiry to Spurs regarding Rose and are hopeful that a deal can be agreed some time this month.
