Manchester clubs eyeing Robert Lewandowski move

30 June 2013 - 12:45

Borussia Dortmund and Poland striker Robert Lewandowski has been at the point of much speculation concerning his stay at the Champions League runners up.

  • Mauricio Pochettino reacts after Chelsea's win vs West Ham
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • Over the past few weeks, the English Premier League giants Manchester City and Manchester United have been re-igniting their interest in the Polish International according to media reports across England. With the beginning of a new era of management at both the Manchester clubs as David Moyes and Manuel Pellegrini, respectively, take control, it remains to be seen how the new managers attempt to strengthen their front line.

David Moyes' primary target still remains in solving out Wayne Rooney’s future at the club, following increased speculation of a move away from the club after reportedly giving a transfer request when Sir Alex Ferguson was still in control of the side.

If Wayne Rooney refuses to extend his contract, Moyes will ahve to look elsewhere to strengthen his attack, and the Dortmund star is the perfect fit as he adds an upgrade on the former Everton striker, who went down the pecking order following the signing of Robin van Persie.
