Nemanja Vidic Concerned With Moyes' Interest In Garay

08 July 2013 - 14:46

Manchester United’s Nemanja Vidic is reportedly concerned with the speculations linking manager David Moyes with a move for Benfica centre-half Ezequiel Garay. It has been suggested by some media reports that Vidic is all set to meet with Moyes regarding his future at the Old Trafford.

 • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • Vidic is reportedly happy to be at United but he is alarmed by Moyes’ interest in Garay, despite the fact that the team already boasts of five world class defenders.
On Friday, the skipper was all praise for new United boss David Moyes. He said:
“I have respect for the great job David did at Everton. I’m looking forward to working with him.”
But the defender reportedly wants assurances on his role for the upcoming season from David Moyes. Vidic’s insecurity is justified to some extent considering United’s already strong defence line with players like Ferdinand, Jonny Evans, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling, besides Vidic himself.
The 31-year-old wants to make sure he is a part of Moyes’ plan for the next season.
