Liverpool could make a surprise move for Swiss international winger Xherdan Shaqiri. The player is currently out of favour at Bayern Munich and could be sold to generate funds.
Since Barca have signed Thiago Alcantara today it appears that Shaqiri will be pushed even further down the pecking order in Munchen.<br />
With the likes of Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery to compete with, Shaqiri is seriously struggling for first team action.<br />
Liverpool on the other hand are set to sell Stewart Downing this summer and are now looking for new midfield talent to purchase.
