The Premier League runners up are reportedly heading strongly to close a deal with Fiorentina for the transfer of the Montenegro international, Stevan Jovetic. According to Goal, City have made arrangements for the forward to undergo a medical on Monday in Florence.
If the source is to be believed, Manchester City have agreed on a £23.3 million plus add-ons deal with Fiorentina for attacker Stevan Jovetic.
It has been reported that the 23-year-old’s agent, Fali Ramadani, is all set to travel to Manchester in order to meet the club’s sporting director, Txiki Begiristain. City is hopeful of sealing the deal after these talks.
The deal struck between the clubs requires City to pay £23.3m up front and an additional £2.6m in form of performance-related bonuses.
City boss, Manuel Pellegrini, is keen on bolstering his forward line, which at the moment is not boast worthy. He is closely monitoring Alvaro Negredo, in addition to Jovetic.
"It's difficult to say a date, but before July finishes I think we will have more players", he said.
"We are not in a hurry to bring them in now but we are clear that we need two or three more players.”
