Fergie: Man Utd can win CL

Sir Alex Ferguson has said that Man Utd are more than capable of winning the Champions League this season. If they beat Dinamo Kiev at Old Trafford tomorrow, they are certain of qualifying for the next round.

Asked whether he feels his side can win the European title, Ferguson said: "At this moment in time I'm very positive about that. I think this team can go far.”



The Red Devils have players like Michael Carrick and Louis Saha coming back from injury problems while some like Gary Neville, Mikael Silvestre, Park Ji-Sung and Ben Foster, are still recovering. As such, Ferguson is hopeful he has a strong squad to choose from.



"Certain things have to fall into place namely having a good strong squad come March. I can't control that though, it's just something you have to accept and deal with.



"I've got a good team and there are some fantastic signs about the side. If we win on Wednesday our sights then turn to the knock-out phase and there's where the excitement really starts."
