Man Utd to make new offer for Fellaini and Baines

21 August 2013 - 02:25

Manchester United will make a renewed offer for Everton duo Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini. The Toffees are desperate to keep hold of their star players and will reportedly reject any bid from United.

  • Chelsea ready to pay €75m for Eduardo Camavinga
  • Chelsea planning move for Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli

  • Sources at Man Utd have reportedly indicated that the club will bid as much as £35 million to land the duo; having missed out on the signing of Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas already this summer. Fellaini and Baines were obvious choices for United manager David Moyes, having both played under him at his former club.

This week, Everton turned down a reported £28 million bid for the duo, calling that bid "derisory and insulting". New manager Roberto Martinez is very unhappy that both bids have been made as he considers both players to be important members of his first team whilst there is a danger that both players will be unsettled by the bids.
