Moyes to gamble by playing Rooney against Chelsea

24 August 2013 - 01:53

Manchester United manager David Moyes is set to start England striker Wayne Rooney against his suitors, Chelsea, in their upcoming match. Chelsea are thought to be ready to put in a third bid for the striker, who had bids of £25m and £28m rejected for him.

  • Could Chelsea sack Liam Rosenior after Everton loss?
  • Man Utd have strong interest in signing Italian star
  • Manchester United insist that their star striker isn't for sale at any price, and that if he's sold, he won't be sold to one of their direct rivals.<br />

    Rooney's only competitive appearance this season came as a second half substitute against Swansea City in the Red Devil's season opener, which they won by four goals to one. &nbsp;
