QPR sign Tom Carroll, Niko Kranjcar and Benoit Assou-Ekotto on loan

03 September 2013 - 05:11

QPR have made three loan signings on transfer deadline day, with Niko Kranjcar, Tom Carroll and Benoit Assou-Ekotto all moving to Loftus Road. All three played under Harry Redknapp at Tottenham when he was Spurs' manager.

  • Chelsea beat Inter Milan to sign £47m Italian star
  • Tottenham finally agree terms with Man Utd target
  • News of the triple signing comes as Tottenham have reshuffled their squad with the departures of several other players, but it is understood Tom Carroll still has a future at White Hart Lane under Andre Villas-Boas.

Benoit Assou-Ekotto has found himself on the substitute's bench in recent weeks and told the club he wanted to leave for regular first team football.

Meanwhile, the signing of Kranjcar on a season long loan from Dynamo Kiev has surprised many, with the 29-year-old also having the option to extend his stay at QPR beyond the end of this current campaign.

"Niko's a crowd pleaser - he gets people off their seats," manager Harry Redknapp said.

"He's a top player and someone who will add great quality to the squad."
