Di Maria glad to stay at Real Madrid, thanks Ancelotti

<strong>Real Madrid winger Angel di Maria has expressed his pleasure on having stayed on at the Bernabeu beyond the summer and thanked Carlo Ancelotti for showing faith in him.</strong>

The 25 year old winger was on the wishlist of a host of English clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United but eventually stayed on at the club.<br />

The Argentina international was believed to be offloaded to balance the books following the sale of Gareth Bale from Tottenham for a world record fee. However, Mesut Ozil was transferred to Arsenal and Di Maria is grateful to Ancelotti for showing faith in him.<br />

"Yes, I will be staying at Real Madrid," said Di Maria to Fox Sports Radio.<br />

"I have the confidence of the coach, I am very happy and my family also, which is the most important thing."
