Man Utd chasing Kalidou Koulibaly

04 October 2013 - 13:09

Manchester United are believed to be keen on acquiring the signature of Genk defender Kalidou Koulibaly, as manager David Moyes plans to strengthen the club's fragile defence.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The Frenchman was a target for Manchester City last summer, before he made a switch to the Belgian outfit from French club Metz on a four year deal.

The Red Devils have found it hard to show the form they exhibited last season under Sir Alex Ferguson mainly due to the poor performance of the defensive line up.

With the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic approaching the twilight of their careers, Moyes is set to land replacements at Old Trafford sooner rather than later.

Koulibaly who has represented the French national side at the Under 20 level, could prove to be the perfect signing for the Premier League holders as he provides a strong physical presence at the back.
