AC Milan are tracking Manchester City defender Micah Richards, with a view of making a move for the player in January.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The 25-year-old England International has been associated with a move away from the Citizens since the summer, with the likes of Arsenal and Roma interested in his services.

However, with Pablo Zabaleta being the first choice for the club under manager Manuel Pellegrini, Richards has played a bit-part role this season.

AC Milan are keen on securing the player's services in the winter transfer window, following the club's dismal run in the Serie A, which finds them lying in 9th in the league standings, and yet to secure their berth in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Richards is likely to leave the Etihad in January, in order to maintain his slight chances of making it to the England squad for the World Cup finals in Brazil.
