Barcelona are considering an approach for Manchester United Captain Nemanja Vidic after his agent revealed he would not be extending his contract at reigning Premier League champions. The Serbian’s contract at Old Trafford expires at the end of the current season.

 • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
 • The 32 year old has lost his place at the center of United’s defense under the new manager David Moyes.
This is what Silvano Martina, Vidic’s agent said on the issue,
“Right now I would rule out a contract extension with United,”
“Given his situation, Vidic has several teams interested in him. He’s a great player and will have no trouble finding a club, so we’re calm.”
Gerard Pique, Carles Puyol and Marc Bartra - and a converted midfielder, Javier Mascherano are currently the only central defenders at the Blaugrana’s disposal.
