Arsenal to make bid for Nigerian starlet Kelechi Iheanacho

09 January 2014 - 02:33

Arsenal and Manchester City will battle for the signing of Nigerian under-17 starlet Kelechi Iheanacho. The two Premier League giants are confident that the striker will receive a work permit that will entitle the player to play in England.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Arsenal chief scout Steve Rowley was in hand to watch Iheanacho in action back in last year's under-17 tournament and is now preparing a sensational bid for the player, whilst Man City manager Manuel Pellegrini instructed his scouts to catch a glimpse of the player in action.<br />

The 17-year-old is available for a nominal fee as his current contract will expire in the summer.
