Liverpool defender Tiago IIori joins Granada on loan

Liverpool have sent defender Tiago Ilori on loan to La Liga outfit Granada for the rest of the season.

The 20-year-old Portuguese centre-back joined the Reds from Sporting Lisbon in the summer on transfer deadline day, but failed to make any impression on manager Brendan Rodgers, who has prefered the likes of Daniel Agger, Kolo Toure, Martin Skrtel and Mamadou Sakho ahead of him in the starting line-up.



Latest reports suggest that the Reds have opted to send their talented youngster on a temporary basis to the La Liga for the season in search of regular first-team football.



Ilori has yet to make an appearance for Liverpool.
