Curbs: Bent missed out

Curbs: Bent missed out

24 November 2007 - 17:42

West Ham boss Alan Curbishley has revealed that he believes Darren Bent has missed out in choosing to join London rivals Tottenham instead of West Ham. Bent has found his playing time limited as Keane and Berbatov battle with him for starting roles.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Curbishley said: "In an ideal world you want four top strikers which is what Spurs have.

"Darren wanted to go to Spurs, he felt that was the right move for him, but he would have played regularly if he had come to West Ham.

"He is not used to missing out. He played every game at Ipswich and Charlton."
