  • The 24-year-old will arrive at St James' Park for talks at some point in the next few days once the Toon Army have sold Mathieu Debuchy to Arsenal to ensure the funds are available to wrap up a move for Riviere.

Newcastle are expected to continue their busy transfer window well into the summer and have already tabled bids for Dutch international Daryl Janmaat and Norwich City defender Leroy Fer.

Riviere is reportedly available for a fee of around 12 million Euros.
