Klopp denies Hummels move to Manchester United?

22 July 2014 - 16:04

Manchester United’s hope of signing Mats Hummels has suffered a blow after Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has suggested the defender will continue at Signal Iduna Park next season.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The Bundesliga giants’ boss also added another United target Marco Reus will also stay with the German club. Earlier it was reported that the World Cup winning defender was set to join Premier League for a transfer fee of €20 million.

“I can assure everyone that there are no signs that those two players want to leave. Marco and Mats will play for us the next season,” Klopp said, as reported by the Guardian.

The Red Devils allowed their central defending duo of Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand leave the club after the end of the last season.

Meanwhile, United are also being linked with a move for Arsenal skipper Thomas Thomas Vermaelen.
