Arsenal to sign Juventus defender as Vermaelen replacement?

Arsenal are speculated to be readying a move for Italy international and Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna this summer, according to The Star.

  • The Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be in the search for a new centre-back, as he aims to find a suitable replacement for skipper Thomas Vermaelen, who is inching closer to a summer exit from the Emirates.

    According to The Star, Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri is open to the sale of the talented defender this summer, and the Gunners could make a move for the player's services.

    La Liga giants Atletico Madrid and Sevilla have also shown interest in the former Torino star.
