Liverpool chase Mario Balotelli?

03 August 2014 - 11:33

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is not done with his transfer activity yet and is reportedly pursuing a move for AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli. The Italy international has also been linked with a move to Arsenal but the Gunners' boss Arsene Wenger recently moved out a move for the Italian.

  • Liverpool are looking to sign another striker after their move for Loic Remy fell through due to the Frenchman failing a medical, and it appears that Balotelli is the best option available. AC Milan have already told reporters that their striker is not for sale, but money talks and Liverpool are weighing up a 20 million euro bid for the former Manchester City man.

With under a month left before the transfer window closes, Liverpool are yet to replace Luis Suarez with an out and out striker. Rickie Lambert and Lazar Markovic have arrived, but it is understood that Rodgers still wants to bring in Balotelli as a direct replacement and successor for Suarez.

AC Milan's striker has been regularly linked with a return to England as he still feels he has to prove himself in the Premier League.
