Serie A side AC Milan are reportedly looking to sign Javier Hernandez from Manchester United to replace star striker Mario Balotelli, who was sold to Liverpool earlier today.

  • The Italian striker bid his farewell to the Red and Blacks after completing a £16m move to Anfield, as the Rossoneri look to restructure their squad after a dismal eighth place finish in the league last season.

They have already drawn up a list of potential players they would like to bring in to San Siro in place of the 24-year-old, and reports in Sky Italia suggest that the Red Devils’ Mexican striker is a top candidate.

United’s newly-appointed manager Louis van Gaal has already asked Hernandez to look for a deal away from Old Trafford, and a move to Italy would seem like an ideal choice for the 26-year-old, who is also being chased by Inter Milan and Juventus.

AC Milan are also looking at Alvaro Negredo from Manchester City and Jackson Martinez from FC Porto as possible replacements.
