Chelsea to let Petr Cech leave on loan?

Chelsea have told Czech Republic goalkeeper Petr Cech that he is free to leave the club on loan. The shot stopper has lost his place in the first team to Thibaut Courtois and is apparently seeking a move elsewhere.

  • Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has had a tough time persuading Cech to stay at Stamford Bridge as Courtois has since taken the number 1 jersey. Now the goalkeeper has instructed his agent to help him find a new club for the rest of the 2014/15 season.

It is understood that a loan deal is favoured by the Blues and that French club Paris St Germain are amongst the teams closely following Cech's situation at Chelsea. It is also understood that Italian club Roma are also considering an offer for the player, as Roma director Walter Sabbatini was spotted arriving at Stamford Bridge for talks last week during a visit to London.
