According to reports, Carlo Ancelotti the Real Madrid manager wants to sign a new striker and has identified Negredo as the best available option.

Currently playing fourth choice at the Etihad Stadium behind Steven Jovetic, Edin Dzeko and Sergio Aguero; Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini could be ready to sell Negredo at a cut price.

Numerous teams have been linked with the Spain international striker and talks will begin with Real Madrid this afternoon over a potential move away for Negredo.
