The Blues boss Jose Mourinho is believed to be keen on signing a new striker during the summer transfer window, with Didier Drogba approaching the end of his career.

According to Evening Standard, the West London outfit would prefer to sign the 22-year-old as a replacement for Drogba next season, such that he gets a chance to link up with the club's midfield setup.

Icardi has scored 17 goals in 37 games for the Nerazzurri this season
