Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is understood to be lining up a move for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports.
The Blues have had a torrid start to their league defence this season, and this has led to speculation that the club may seek to offload some of their top players in the near future.
According to Spanish publication AS, Abramovich will look to recoup funds from the sale of Eden Hazard, Oscar and Nemanja Vidic to go on a spending spree next summer.
It is added that the Russian tycoon will set aside a fee of around £70m to land the Portugal international, who is deemed to be considering his future at the Bernabeu.
Ronaldo has previously hinted his desire to work under Jose Mourinho at Stamford Bridge,
