According to The Sun, manager Pep Guardiola is eager to move in for the England international shortly after his side completed the signing of Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund.

However, the Citizens could have a tough task negotiating a deal for the 24-year-old as he is still regarded a key component of the Gunners' midfield.

Wilshere made it to Roy Hodgson's England squad for Euro 2016 despite missing a whole season of league football.
